Pollinators, herbs, and edibles naturally complement one another, creating an abundant, resilient garden that nourishes both people and the ecosystem. You can cultivate all three together in a thriving, interconnected space that supports local ecology and community well-being. Join the Elizabeth River Project's Conservation Landscape Curator, Yolima Carr, for a skill-building, community-powered session on growing what thrives in the Tidewater region. We’ll explore native pollinator plants that support local ecology, perennial herbs that return year after year, and fruiting shrubs that offer harvests across the seasons. Learn how to grow food and medicine right where you live, share knowledge with neighbors, and build a garden that supports the whole community. Whether you’re new to growing or already tending a plot, you’ll leave with practical, analog skills for creating a garden that nourishes you, your pollinators, and your people. Event is free to attend - donations welcome to support the Elizabeth River Project's nature programming.
