Dr. Harry Young and Dr. Phillip Pieters will be honored with our Fourth Lifetime Achievement Award. This year we are pleased to honor two physicians, who were not only extraordinary in their respective specialties, but were both remarkably gifted in the realm of patient care. Dr. Harry Young is our fourth recipient of the Good Doctors Lifetime Achievement Award. He was Chairman of the VCU Department of Neurosurgery from 1985-2015 and was the Director of the Harry Young Neurosurgical Center at VCUHS. Dr. Phillip Pieters is our Posthumous recipient. Dr. Pieters was a supremely talented and beloved Interventional Radiologist for decades at both VCU and Henrico Doctors. The Interventional Radiology Suite at HDH has been named in his honor. We look forward to celebrating their respective achievements with their families and colleagues.
