TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. Trust Based Relational Intervention, or TBRI®, was developed in the Child Development Department at Texas Christian University by the late Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross. The holistic intervention, rooted in attachment, is based upon decades of research, and incorporates multiple disciplines such as occupational therapy, nutrition education, developmental psychology and more. It helps caregivers of all kinds to meaningfully impact the lives of children from hard places in all types of settings including residential treatment facilities, schools, camps and homes.
