Join Hawkmoth Arts artist Sandy Gray-Murray to create a plaster cast nature artwork using clay and natural findings from the surrounding forest. You'll then mix and pour plaster into the cast to capture the details of your design. While your piece sets, enjoy a 40-minute nature hike around the property with Sandy, followed by a guided tasting of Arterra Wines. After about an hour, you'll remove the plaster from the mold to reveal your finished piece. Guests with mobility concerns are welcome to opt out of the hike. The nature walk is also weather dependent.

Get ready to explore the winter wonderland on a tree-mendous hike, where the forest comes alive with secrets waiting to be discovered! Explore the rich natural history of trees guided by a Virginia Master Naturalist. Discover the tips and tricks of basic tree identification and the tree-mendous roles trees play in our environment. Discover the traditional uses and folklore of these wooden wonders. This guided three-tenths of a mile gentle walk will meet at the Sensory Explorersâ Trail in the picnic area and will last approximately one hour.
