About the Book: Piloting Life About the Author: Carey Hobbs is a former Marine fighter pilot who grew up on the oil fields and plains of New Mexico and West Texas and holds a deep love for his family and his country. He is a successful businessman, actively involved in his community, and continues to bleed red and black for his Texas Tech Red Raiders. Carey resides in Waco, Texas, and enjoys spending time at his nearby ranch.
