Preview the 57th Season of Shakespeare at Winedale!
It's 1976, and four UT students show up at Winedale planning to focus on Shakespeare, not love. This adaptation of Shakespeare's early comedy is set in Winedale in 1976. Full of music, fun, and vintage costumes, this is a perfect show for audience members who may not be familiar with Shakespeare.
The classic tale of teen love, and how civil blood makes civil hands unclean. This production of Shakespeare's tragedy takes seriously our setting at Winedale, a historical site of UT's Briscoe Center for American History. Our student performers will be thinking about how the civil strife in this play can help us think about the American Civil War and its legacies, and the show is likely to feature music from that era.
