Find the best music events and make the most of your time in Erwin. With our biggest music event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.
Grab your instrument and join Steve Harrill for a laid-back bluegrass jam session where everyone’s welcome to play along! The first of what we hope to become a monthly bluegrass jam session! Bring your instrument whatever it is and join the fun onstage with sound and lighting. The public is invited free of charge. The concession stand will be open with food and drinks. Whether you want to play or listen or even do a little footstoompin' come join in the find at the beautiful new Capitol Hall downtown Erwin!
Come enjoy an evening of amazing jams with Baltimore's The Dirty Grass Players! With a nod to the past and a wink to the future from behind their sunglasses, Baltimore's The Dirty Grass Players have been pushing the leading edge of bluegrass music since 2015. As convincing on a 10-minute jam as they are on a 2-minute classic, they find an intersection between progress and tradition that in one set could inspire Flatt & Scruggs to reunite and then break up all over again. With harmonies to please any purist, compositions fresh enough to have been written tomorrow, and improvisations that fearlessly stride to the end of every limb, this band can play as clean as anybody but isn't afraid to get a little dirty.
Enjoy an evening with Scenic Radio, an original Rock band born in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The band blends southern rock, gospel roots, mountain music, country, blues, funk, and soul into a gumbo of original songs that uplift the Spirit. Centered around a three part vocal harmony, the band marries instrumental prowess to songs with thoughtful lyrics about life.
The Dimestore Cowboys are a hard-hitting, six-piece cornerstone of Appalachian sound hailing from Johnson City, TN. Influenced by bands like Drive-By Truckers, Sturgill Simpson, and Dwight Yoakam, Dimestore's unique style fuses powerful vocals with hard-driving instrumentation, creating a traditional country sound with a not-so-traditional attitude. Fans praise the band for their soulful lyrics, centered around the struggles of living in the rural south and the ever-present pain of heartbreak, as well as their dynamic musicianship.
