Environment Events in Marvin

This 2-and-a-half day school combines classroom instruction with field exercises to teach participants the basics of soil health management. The 2026 South Dakota Soil Health School will be held Sept. 15-17 at David Kruger's Farm near Twin Brooks, SD, and the Abbey of the Hills near Marvin, SD. This school is designed for agricultural producers as well as anyone with an interest in learning how to manage soils for resiliency and profit. The agenda will feature classroom style presentations from producers and technical experts from across the state and region, as well as hands-on experiences in the field. Area producers will also share their challenges and successes with various methods for improving soil health.
