Education Events in Middletown

Join us for the first lecture in our Winter Speaker Series. Environmental scientist Peter Lockwood will present a 1.5-hour lecture at Norman Bird Sanctuary exploring the often-overlooked plants beneath our feet. He will delve into our concept of grasslands in the context of local history and landscape ecology and discuss why grasslands are perhaps the least understood, but maybe most important, habitat type in the changing landscape of Southern New England.
