Trade the city for an afternoon in the countryside. Join us at a beautiful working farm just outside the city for a slow, sensory day among sheep, donkeys, goats, pigs, and open pasture. This gathering blends pastoral charm with creative exploration, inviting you to step into the rhythms of farm life while learning the ancient art of natural dyeing. We’ll begin with time to wander the property and meet the animals who call the farm home. The sheep will have been freshly shorn, offering a glimpse into the farm-to-fiber process before we move into a hands-on natural wood dye workshop, where plant materials are transformed into rich, earthy pigments. You’ll create your own naturally dyed piece to take home. Throughout the afternoon, expect a relaxed, social atmosphere with light snacks, drinks, and plenty of time to linger in the fields, pet animals, and connect with fellow nature lovers. It’s part workshop, part pastoral escape, and entirely an invitation to slow down.
As a retreat guest, you will be given time to consider the impact of breast cancer on your life and to reflect upon both the difficulties and the potentials that exist as a result. Experience renewal, shared journeying, and encouragement among people who understand what you’re going through because they are on the same road. At the end of the retreat, we hope you emerge with renewed perspectives, ready to jump back into your daily life. The retreats are designed for individuals who have been diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer. A $50 registration fee supports the venue rental, food, materials, and expert facilitation expenses to create a thoughtful, enriching experience for every participant. Retreat reservations are prioritized for Oregon and Washington residents.
