Education Events in Lakewood

Get ready for your birth and postpartum journey with three days of birth, postpartum, and lactation/feeding education at Family Room. Parents will learn how to communicate with hospital/care staff, decision making skills, advocacy, coping methods, pain management, body balancing techniques, navigate natural labor, inductions, medicated labors, and cesareans. We will also cover common interventions, newborn care procedures, how to stay positive, and the role and importance of partners. Guidance on the postpartum time and lactation/breastfeeding/infant feeding will also be covered. All participants will be given guidebooks containing The Stages of Labor, Coping Tools, How to Choose a Bottle, and Birth Plan Template.
