Ohio is celebrating its rich film history with Ohio Goes to the Movies! All films have been chosen because they have a train and Ohio connection! Hop on board the feature movie Train with specific movie theme times and visit with corresponding movie characters, enjoy that feature movie trivia, music and fun! Featured Film: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) Directed by George Roy Hill. Starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford.
Travel back in time on a one hour WWII Troop Train departing from Dennison at the “Victory on the Homefront" Event. Honor your favorite veteran with a free ride on this 1940s themed Troop Train Ride, nostalgic of the many troop trains that passed through Dennison during WWII. The Dennison Railroad Depot Museum is a National Historic Landmark, recognized as the best example left in the entire nation of a WWII Servicemen’s Canteen. Veterans are very special to us. Bring your favorite veteran and join us for this Troop Train Ride designed to honor and remember our veterans. Extra time will be allowed to help our special guests board. Canteen volunteers will pass out locally made donuts– just like they did during WWII! Hear the history of the Canteen, 1940s music and memories shared on board. A great way to honor a veteran, remember your lost veteran and share the experience andmemories with younger generations.
