Bob Frank Ed Pauli. While these musicians have known each other, been friends, and worked together for years (decades really), the band itself is relatively new. In 2025 the band headlined the Canton Blues Festival.
A silent disco where art, sound, and style collide. Slide on some red, grab a pair of headphones, and lose yourself in equal parts glow, groove, and galleries.

Thunder and Rain is a Nashville-based Newgrass band delivering melodic hooks, rich harmonies, and grassy drive with pop-rock inspired songcraft.Over their decade-long career, Thunder and Rain has shared the stage with artists such as Billy Strings, The Kruger Brothers, Peter Rowan, AJ Lee and Blue Summit, and The Brothers Comatose. Their 2020 single Run With You was selected for the IBMA Songwriter Showcase in 2023.The band was founded by Erinn Peet Lukes, a singer-songwriter whose path led her through several major music hubs before settling in Colorado in 2013. There, she formed Thunder and Rain within Denvers vibrant bluegrass scene. Since then, the band has released four studio albums, toured across the U.S., Canada, Ireland, and the UK, and found viral success on YouTube with their bluegrass takes on popular songs, which have earned hundreds of thousands of views.Following a pandemic-era hiatus, Lukes relocated to Nashville, where she met Amelia Ransom (fiddle) and Laura Ray (banjo). The trio instantly clicked, bringing a renewed focus on tight harmony and a more traditional acoustic sound. They play with a rotating cast of bass players including Vickie Vaugh, three time IBMA Bass Player of the Year Award Recipient. They released their fourth album, Storybook Sessions, in October 2024.

Singer-songwriter Sunshine James is just as comfortable entertaining people in small bar rooms across the country to tearing the roof off honky-tonks in Nashville, Tennessee. As an Arizona native, he grew up in the outskirts of the city just east of Phoenix in the desert near the Superstition Mountains. Having been raised in a deeply musical family, Sunshine learned at a young age to play guitar before he started covering music sung by his heroes. His foundation as a country artist is traditional at its core, yet he is not afraid to let his southern rock, blues, bluegrass and folk influences shine through into his music. In his early adult life, he toured across the western United States, helped physically build a recording studio, and he even had a hand in starting a record label. Sunshine James has always done it his way and will continue to do so. With a passion for songwriting, he decided to pursue his love of music and build his career as an independent country artist, finding himself on the road to Nashville. Sunshine James can be seen on stage at various honky-tonks in and around Music City, challenging himself at songwriter nights and working with other artists to continue building his unique sound and style for many years to come.
