Join us for The People Poetry: Open Mic Night at the B Side every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month! Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the show starts at 7:00 PM. Admission is $8 for those 18 and over, with a $2 cover charge for those under 21. Whether you're a poet looking to share your work, a performer wanting to express yourself, or just a lover of live poetry, this is the place to be. Open-mic and slam spots are limited, so arrive early to secure your place on the list. Performances are capped at one piece or five minutes, whichever comes first. For the Poetry Slam, bring your original work and prepare for two rounds with a three-minute time limit each. No props or musical accompaniment allowed. Don't miss out on this vibrant poetry community event.
Nuovo Testamento, a Los Angeles-based trio, brings their unique dark italo disco-flavored pop to the Grog Shop on February 25. Known for their acclaimed album New Earth and the highly anticipated Love Lines, they're set to light up the dance floor with their infectious rhythms and synthpop punch. Joining them are Dark Chisme and Marottes for a night of dark wave and coldwave vibes. Doors open at 7 PM, show at 8 PM. $18.50 advance / $22 day of show + $3 if under 21.
