Discover the best events and make the most of your time in Yorktown Heights. From education to mindfulness and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.
A Self-Care Retreat for Teachers, Outdoor Educators, and Environmental Advocates. Join us for a restorative day of mindfulness, deep nature connection, and collegial sharing amongst the fields and woodlands of the farm. Explore nature-based mindfulness practices that cultivate calm, perspective, renewal, and a sense of inner nourishment to reinvigorate your body, mind, and professional practice. Activities will include sensory awareness, nature-based meditation, nourishing silence, shared reflection, and gentle hiking and walking. A healthy lunch will be provided for all. This retreat is freely offered to teachers as well as environmental educators and advocates, made possible through generous funding from Mindful of Nature and the work of mindfulness teacher Liz Slade.
Explore plant parts and their systems! Become a scientist as we use dissection kits to explore common plant parts and their systems and record our data. Recommended for all ages 10+; $5 /person with pre-registration required.
