That's right: Fire Island's most iconic Fourth of July fundraiser is paying homage to the iconic 1995 cult classic film Showgirls, with a soundtrack provided by Jacob Meehan feat Motherboard, Scott Martin, and Someone From Berlin. If you've attended in the past, you know we will deliver this theme in \*all\* of its campy, glittery, and cut-throat glory. Join us at the Stardust Hotel and Casino, located at 236 Bay Walk in the Fire Island Pines, on Saturday, July 4 from 4pm. As usual, this is an open bar event! Our beverage service is made possible by the generosity of Misguided Spirits in partnership with The Exley. Net proceeds from IndepenDANCE are donated to a set of non-profits doing critial work in the LGBTQ community. For 2026 our principal beneficiary will be the Ali Forney Center with some funds going to Trans Asylias and health-focused organizations operating in the Fire Island Pines community. in 2025 we were able to deliver over $30,000 to our non-profit partners, and with your help we're going to do even better this year.
