Local Historian Gerry Szymanski shares an evening of stories about a local Rochester musician whose songs resonated with Susan B Anthony. The Maniac connects a Rochester church musician who wrote songs about social issues like abolition, temperance, and reform of mental asylums, which became huge here with Anthony and Bloomer, who were popular all over the country with touring musicians, including some who always stayed at Frederick Douglass's house on South Ave when they came through town to perform. Join us for this great piece of Rochester history with local historian Gerry Szymanski.
