Join us at the New York Sign Museum for a tour of our collection located within Noble Signs' manufacturing shop! We are conveniently located a couple of blocks from the Broadway Junction A/C/J/L subway stop and across the street from the LIRR East New York stop. The New York Sign Museum is a registered nonprofit organization with the mission of preserving historic signage from around the New York metropolitan area. The museum collection includes over 40 full-scale rescued storefront signs and dozens of other small pieces and ephemera. See the collection and an active sign shop where signs are still made the old-fashioned way, situated in an amazing one-of-a-kind prewar factory space with original details including glass block walls, art deco tin ceilings, stained glass dividers, and a functioning dumbwaiter.

Good thing it’s almost Fiber Night… from crochet granny squares to knitted scarves & sweaters, Dr. Daisy will guide you through a number of lessons that will have you becoming a fiber warrior in no time! Starting with Knitting Fundamentals, we will explore the basics of knitting any project: casting on, knitting, purling and binding off. Future lessons will include basics of crochet, hand making fingerless gloves, granny square bonnets, and scarf making! After the lesson at 6:30 there will be open office hours and a craft circle where we can all stitch and goss and help teach each other. Dr. Daisy will be available for questions about any project, troubleshooting, and general curiosities. Bringing your own yarn and needles is encouraged, but supplies will be available first come first serve for yarn-curious folks without fiber. Lessons will build cumulatively but drop ins are allowed. All levels welcome, beginners very much encouraged!
