Mr. Allaire bought the property we now call the 'Historic Village at Allaire' in 1822. Here he would create the largest iron-producing site in the State of NJ during the 1830s. The manufacturing of iron thrived largely due to the expansive self-sufficient industrial community that Mr. Allaire planned out.
