The American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma developed the current ATLS® program in accordance with the College’s long-standing dedication to improvement of care for the surgical patient. The program is designed for physicians who do not treat victims of major trauma regularly. The program emphasizes the first hour of initial assessment and primary management of the injured patient.

Agency teams will work to build a task analysis and process map to set expectations, ensure consistency, and improve efficiency for internal practices. This interactive workshop will prepare participants to implement the process and procedure built during the workshop and identify other internal processes that can benefit from a Process Map.
