Join us at Kakao for a delicious, chocolatey extravaganza! We'll share the story of how the best chocolate shop in St. Louis got started, tell the tales behind each confection you'll taste, and answer your questions about the most magical food on the planet. You'll get a selection of 8-9 all-natural, handmade artisan chocolates, and we'll talk about where chocolate comes from and what makes it so magical (and good for you!). The tasting will be indoors around our big table, with a maximum of 14 people. Each Tasting is for one person. The shop will be open for purchases after the tasting is done.
Help us kick off our brand-new series of monthly tastings with sommelier Nick Rugen of Classique Wines! We're pretty serious about wine here at Vom Fass.... but we have a lot of FUN drinking it! So, if you're looking to have fun with some great bottles, we hope you'll join us to taste at what hopefully will become a monthly open-house, come-and-go wine tasting! Because he's always a lot of fun, we've invited Nick Rugen to join us! Nick has spent time working in both the kitchens and wine cellars of restaurants, but it's current role as sommelier with Classique Wines that brings him by the shop to pour some great bottles to kick off the start of spring. So, whether you need a bottle or two for the weekend, or a bottle or two for dinner Nick can help. He can also give you suggestions on what food to serve along with it! And did we mention the best part? It's FREE! You don't even need to sign up, though if you did it would give us an idea of how many to expect. Again, this is a very casual tasting, so drop by whenever is convenient for you. Don't get off work until 5pm? No worries, just swing by afterward and taste! The event runs from 4-7pm on Thursday, February 26th so just stop by. If you find some bottles you like they will be available for purchase, but the tasting itself is completely free.
