Join Z for an interactive art drop-in centered around how to use art to communicate with your representatives. Drop In, free opportunity – Come anytime during the window to make art with us. In this workshop, Henry the Snail (with assistance from Twin Cities artist Z Akhmetova) will guide you to slow down and create a postcard to mail to a city, state, or federal government representative. Art supplies, stamps, and prompts for writing, drawing, and reflection are all provided. The only thing you need to bring is a willingness to reach out and connect. This is a family-friendly activity. Youth will need to be accompanied by an adult to participate.

Make your farming dreams a reality. Big River Farms is hosting multiple workshops for emerging farmers in Winter/Spring of 2026. In this session we will take a look at soil tests and what they can tell us about necessary purchases on the farm. Participants will learn how to interpret soil test information and what types of inputs may be necessary in moving forward with a growing season. Early spring is also a great time to inventory other necessary materials before planting season starts. Weeding and harvest tools as well as pest management supplies will also be discussed as necessary site preparation.
