Join us this spring for a walk in the park with a naturalist! We’ll explore Rum River Central to observe a variety of migratory waterfowl, including ducks, swans, herons, mergansers, and geese. As we move closer to summer, we’ll also encounter an exciting diversity of warblers, such as Prothonotary, Wilson’s, and Canada warblers, along with other forest birds in the canopy. Led by Ellen, a knowledgeable naturalist with a Masters of Environmental Education and a passion for birding, these walks are perfect for birdwatching enthusiasts of all levels to connect and spend some time outside. Bring your own binoculars if you have them.
Join Songs of the South at Ramsey Parks and Rec's annual Concert Series, a family-friendly event series celebrating music & community spirit
This class designed for participants who are new to line dancing, learn a new dance every week! No partner needed! Pre-registration is required for this event. Cost is $35 for all four sessions. Join us for a four-week line dancing class, meeting once a week on Wednesday evenings. Each week you’ll learn a new dance at a comfortable pace, with time built in to review previous dances. No prior experience is needed, and no partner is required. Just bring a water bottle, a dry pair of shoes to change into, and get ready to have fun on the dance floor. The class is led by Karen Ann Stark, an experienced instructor and former choreographer of the Bootscooters Dance Team.
These classes are intended for dancers who have some experience with line dancing and are comfortable with the basics. No partner needed! Pre-registration is required for this event. Cost is $35 for all four sessions. The Advanced Beginner class includes basic step patterns and simple combinations, while gradually introducing more complex steps and sequences. This four-week class meets once a week on Wednesday evenings and is ideal for participants who are ready to build on foundational skills and advance their confidence and technique. No partner is required. Bring a water bottle, a dry pair of shoes to change into, and be ready to keep moving. The class is led by Karen Ann Stark, an experienced instructor and former choreographer of the Bootscooters Dance Team.
Join the Cyclones at Ramsey Parks and Rec's annual Concert Series, a family-friendly event series celebrating music and community spirit! Bringing high-energy music to the stage from the legends of the '70s and '80s. The Cyclones are 7 high school buddies that came together to give you that classic rock experience, 100% live. The Cyclones are ready to rock your night!
Join Country Roads at Ramsey Parks and Rec's annual Concert Series, a family-friendly event series celebrating music and community spirit! Headlined by Dennis Curley, Country Roads is a tribute show to one of America's best-loved performers and draws deeply on Curley's own love of John Denver's music. Backed by a fantastic six-piece band, Curley's renditions of the music of John Denver is sure to bring a smile to audiences of all ages. Some of the featured tunes include 'Take Me Home, Country Roads,' 'Rocky Mountain High,' 'Leaving on a Jet Plane,' and 'Thank God Im a Country Boy.' Frontman Dennis Curley intersperses the songs with personal recollections of growing up with John Denver's music, as well as stories from friends and family that will touch your heart and tickle your funny bone. Country Roads ran for three weekends at Minneapolis' Bryant-Lake Bowl, two sold-out shows at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, and fifteen weeks at the Plymouth Playhouse, where over 12,000 people saw and loved the show.
Clinic designed to help kids enhance their abilities whether they’re new to the game, refining their techniques, or just for fun! Pre-registration is required for this event. DOES NOT take registration on EventBrite. Please see details below on registration or go directly to our registration webpage here. Each participant will receive a program shirt with registration. To prepare, kids should arrive wearing athletic clothing, shin guards, and bring a water bottle. Cleats are recommended but not mandatory. If cleats are worn, they must have rubber spikes (no metal spikes allowed). This program is offered in partnership with i9 Sports. All instructors are certified and have undergone background checks. i9 Sports believes youth sports are about more than just skills and scores—they focus on teaching fundamentals while also developing character through sportsmanship and celebrating players who exemplify those values. Families are an essential part of the i9 Sports experience! Parents are encouraged to attend, cheer on their athletes, and serve as spectators, motivators, and role models.
