The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is open for drop in hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 12 - 3pm, with a Guided Tour of the Van Hoosen Farmhouse at 1:00pm. Come and share your afternoon with us at our site – listed on the National Register of Historic Places! Included with your admission is: Access to exhibits - A self-paced, interactive look at our community’s local history. Meet the Taylor-Van Hoosen families, check out Mastodon bones, enjoy a wide variety of local videos from our ski jump to our award winning PBS movie and numerous computer interactives. Check out the new kid's area in our silo. Tour @ 1pm of the Van Hoosen Farmhouse and Red House. Departs from the Dairy Barn. Access to the Bull Barn, Milk House, Equipment Barn, and Children’s Garden, as well as the nearby Stoney Creek Cemetery and our 16 acres of grounds.

On Friday evenings in March, we provide speakers that will educate your mind and warm your hearts. Join Deborah Larsen as she looks at the faith communities that emerged in Avon Township (Rochester Hills) and its two villages, Rochester and Stoney Creek, from the time of the Graham settlement in 1817 until the eve of World War II. Learn which denominations came to Avon with settlers migrating from eastern states, and how the area's religious landscape shifted during its expansive population growth after the turn of the twentieth century.
