Learn the principles of haiku, a short form of Japanese poetry inspired by nature. The Spring Inspired Haiku Circle values each person's haiku as a gift. Weekly Series: April 4, 11, 18 & 25, 1-2:30pm, Outdoors (weather permitting), Meet in the Wilkins Room, Paper and pencils are provided, Adults and Youth 11 and up are welcome, Pay What You Can, Powered by Humanitix, dedicates 100% of profits from booking fees to charity.

Join the Kennebec County Soil & Water Conservation District and Viles Arboretum for a hands-on Winter Tree Identification Workshop, led by Maine Forest Service District Foresters Julie Davenport and Jared Gregory. This workshop is designed to introduce participants to identifying trees without leaves using buds, bark, and other key winter characteristics. All participants will receive printed winter tree ID resources, including a free Forest Trees of Maine guide.
Learn to propagate and reproduce your favorite apple varieties at Viles Arboretum! Led by Jennifer Ries from Fedco Seeds, this hands-on workshop teaches whip & tongue grafting techniques. Participants will graft stock to take home. Includes rootstock, scionwood, instruction & handouts.
Aquatic WILD uses the simple format of Project WILD activities and professional training workshops but with an emphasis on aquatic wildlife and aquatic ecology.
