Horsemanship Badge Day | September

Horsemanship Badge Days are designed with your Scout in mind, but all groups and individuals ages 5-15 are welcome! This program covers a tour of the farm, safety, grooming, horse anatomy, breeds, colors, heights and weights, behavior and language, illnesses and basic horse health care, what horses eat and what they need to stay healthy, overview of tack, a tacking-up demonstration, and horse leading. This program aims to meet requirements for GS Daisy Journey Badge, GS Brownie Pets Badge, GS Junior Horseback Riding Badge, GS Cadette Animal Helpers Badge, and GS Seniors Voice or Animals Badge.
