Join us for the 2026 FCC Jazz Festival Daytime Workshops at Frederick Community College. FEBRUARY 27, 2026 • 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM JAZZ FESTIVAL DAYTIME WORKSHOPS Join us for Daytime Workshops during our Annual Jazz Festival! Our day begins with an opening performance followed by music workshops, lunch at the Cougar Cafe in the Student Center, an exciting masterclass, tour of the Visual and Performing Arts Center, and more. Open to middle and high school students with two or more years of experience on their instrument, workshops focus on playing by ear along with improvisation in small groups (combo). All instruments are welcome and prior jazz and/or improvisation experience is not necessary. Upon completion, you receive free entry to the evening concert performance!

Rest & Reawaken is a restorative sound vibration journey designed to calm your nervous system, melt tension held deep in the body, and create space for fresh energy to emerge. Through the grounding resonance of gongs, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, drums, Native American flute, and other vibrational instruments, you’ll be guided into a meditative state where the body can rest and the mind can quiet. This is a time to slow way down. To let go of what feels heavy, stagnant, or no longer needed. To rest without effort—and allow yourself to reawaken feeling clearer, lighter, and more connected as we transition from the inward energy of winter into the promise of spring. Lie back, get comfortable, and simply receive. No Experience Necessary All Are Welcome Please bring yoga mats, blankets, pillows/bolsters, anything to make you comfy and cozy. Leave feeling restored, grounded, and ready to meet the changing season with ease.
