They make music inspired by the maritime traditions of Scotland, Ireland, Scandinavia and North America. Kalos is made up of three innovative interpreters and composers of Celtic roots music: Eric McDonald, Ryan McKasson and Jeremiah McLane. Their individual artistry is enhanced when together. Pulling from parallel strands of influence, they create a swirling level of intensity that traverses darkness, light, and everywhere in between. An air of mystery pervades a sound compelling enough to transcend boundaries and appeal to music lovers of all stripes. Devon Leger of Hearth Music says, “This trio really shows how masterful musicians listen and play off each other.” The music they create is to share, and live performance is the forte. But their mutual attitude stretches beyond the music. They have been good friends ever since they met, and this is present in their live performances, which are full of organic banter and good humor to go along with the music. They create an environment of their own design, drawing in listeners without pretense. Despite living active musical lives thousands of miles apart these musicians have committed to working together to forge a new musical path.

An evening-length interdisciplinary extravaganza! In this evening-length interdisciplinary extravaganza, audiences bear witness as a dysfunctional couple attempts to clean out their living room, sorting through piles of treasured belongings because they know that the portal to the land of the dead is in there somewhere! Inspired by the founding of the GLBT Historical Society in San Fransisco, which archives the possessions that people who died of AIDS in the 1980s left behind, The Living Room employs Free Pile Productions' signature blend of the heartfelt and absurd to tenderly explore grief, memory, and love through puppetry, music, and crankies (illustrated panoramic scrolls).
Alison Arngrim, aka Nellie Oleson, brings her acclaimed comedy about life on and off the set of Little House on the Prairie to The Foundry! Wickedly funny. -- Los Angeles Times “A potty-mouthed hoot.” -- The L Magazine “Charmingly self-deprecating.” – North Carolina Mountain Xpress
A family-friendly Happenstance Theater production! A Tarot-inspired mystery play full of slapstick comedy, music from the middle ages, puppetry and whimsy to drive away fear and offer relief from impending doom, just as folly brought light to the Dark Ages. As the Fool faces Death and seeks guidance, you too can consult the Oracle, be comforted by the High Priestess, trust in the Doctor if you dare, and give your troubles to the Crone.
