In this workshop, Marcelo “El Chino” Gutiérrez explores the mechanics of grounding - how the standing leg supports movement, how the free leg releases naturally, and how dancers generate movement from the floor rather than from the upper body. Through simple but powerful exercises, Marcelo will help you refine balance, improve pivots, and discover a more stable and effortless axis.This workshop is less about steps and more about how movement is built from the ground up - a key element of Marcelo’s teaching method. When the standing leg works correctly, tango becomes easier, smoother, and far more expressive. This class gives you the physical foundation for everything that follows.
