Art Events in Brookline

Wine is science that we talk about like art, and just like art, color is a fundamental component of wine's style, message, and personality. On this spring evening, the Diana Stelin Gallery will light up with art, color, and wine for a tasting class in six hues, where wine and art will meet in a delicious conversation. If you've ever held a glass of wine up to the light and loved it just by looking at it without even tasting it, this class is for you. Our night begins in the gallery, surrounded by paintings and pigment, where we will taste wines chosen not only for flavor, but for the stories their colors tell. As we taste through the spectrum of wine, you'll look at the wine and into the wine too, into what the color promises the wine will be. And then, brush in hand, with palette waiting and palate ready, you will translate wine color into watercolor. A gentle, guided lesson will help you follow the impressions the wine has left behind. By the end of the evening, you will have created a small work of art that holds the memory of the wines that inspired it, a keepsake of wine and art intertwined.
