This class is all about Xiao Long Bao, the famous soup dumplings that might possibly be the juiciest dumpling out there. We will be making everything from scratch and learning how to seal these pockets of joy in a thin hand rolled dumpling skin. These delicate bites of wonder are probably one if Chef Cass’s favorite dumplings to date. Let’s get together and learn the art of dumpling making!

This is a very exciting class! Yasamin is part of Women of the World and has been selling her delicious cookies and spice mixes at the Valley Junction farmers market on Thursdays and the Ankeny Farmers Market on Saturdays. She is looking to open her own food business in the future. In this class Yasamin will be teaching you how to make Mantu, a dumpling made with spiced lamb or beef. Served with a tomato sauce and a savory garlic yogurt sauce with fresh or dried mint. Ready your apron, ready your taste buds, and bring your appetite! These are not served anywhere in Des Moines so this is your chance to learn to make and try something new! (Chef Cass is also very excited to learn about and taste this delicacy.)
