Transform your yard into a beautiful, eco-friendly oasis and learn how to earn Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ yard recognition. The Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ (FFL) program, delivered by UF/IFAS through the Center for Landscape Conservation & Ecology and supported by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, provides science-based guidance on environmentally friendly landscaping practices. This workshop is designed to help homeowners begin the Florida-Friendly Landscape Recognition process. If you would like your yard recognized as a Florida-Friendly Landscape, join this introductory session to learn the key steps, review the checklist, and access resources to start your recognition journey. After the workshop, participants may register for an optional site visit to a Gold-level Florida-Friendly Landscape in the City of Hollywood. Attendance at the morning session (9:00–10:30 a.m.) is required to participate in the afternoon site visit (1:00–3:00 p.m).
