Battle of the Jam is a new live music competition for middle and high school students across Connecticut. All eligible students with ambitions in music are invited to submit samples of their music by the January 31, 2026 deadline. The inaugural event will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at District Music Hall in Norwalk and is open free-of-charge, to the public. Student musicians will perform live before a panel of judges and an enthusiastic audience for top honors, prizes, and the chance to record at Factory Underground with an industry producer—showcasing their talents in a state-of-the-art venue on a professional stage.

Private tour of the recently reopened Lockwood-Mathews Mansion and new exhibition on Irish Heritage. Lockwood-Mathews mansion is a National Historic Landmark and one of the earliest and most significant Second Empire Style country houses in the United States. Located in Norwalk, Connecticut, Lockwood-Mathews recently re-opened after being closed for a two-year renovation project. VSNY attendees have been offered a rare opportunity to visit the museum before public hours, allowing for a more intimate experience. Trained docents will lead a 90-minute tour of the mansion, including the upcoming Irish heritage exhibit, which will be opening the week of St. Patrick’s Day.
Join us for an evening with Eliot Lewis and special guests Owen Daniel and Ashley Jo here at Factory Underground Studio! Eliot will be sharing his up-close and personal stories, never heard, about his time as the keyboardist for Hall and Oates and former member of The Average White Band. Having mastered four instruments over the course of his career; guitar, keyboard, bass and drums, Eliot’s shows will find him moving from one instrument to another.
LMMM celebrates America's 250 with the lecture Connecticut in the American Revolution: “Provision State” & “Arsenal of the Revolution.". Renowned local historian Eric Chandler will be presenting. Light refreshments will be offered following the presentation.
