In this woodshop class, students will learn the basics of hand tool joinery. Beginner-Level Woodshop Class. Students will learn the basics of hand tool joinery, including how to hand-cut dovetails and mortise and tenon joints. This class will cover workholding on Sparks joiners' benches, joint layout, marking knife use, hand saw use, and chopping with chisels. Students will finish the class with an assembled bookstand, great for holding cookbooks or tablets.
