Join us this summer for Storytime Tuesdays — a special morning program designed for young learners and their families. Each Tuesday in July and August, children will enjoy a themed story reading followed by a vintage trolley ride along our historic Branford Electric Railway. The experience blends early literacy, imagination, and transportation history in a setting unlike any other. Each session lasts approximately one hour. Please arrive a few minutes early, as programs begin promptly. Designed with young children’s schedules in mind, morning sessions conclude in time for lunch and afternoon naps.

Throughout the weekend, visitors will have the opportunity to ride and explore iconic subway cars from our collection, including: Spider-Man II Megalopolis Saturday Operating Day 10:00 AM–3:00 PM Experience New York subway equipment in operation and enjoy themed music throughout the day. Explore the museum grounds and take in the atmosphere of classic urban transit history.
A special after-hours photography session designed for transit enthusiasts and photographers. Capture historic New York equipment in a unique nighttime setting with dramatic lighting and extended access.
Continue the weekend with operating New York subway equipment and family-friendly programming. Ride historic cars from our collection and enjoy children’s activities, including a special costumed superhero guest appearance.
Join us for a simple Mother’s Day make-and-take craft activity where children can create a handmade gift to share with Mom — a sweet keepsake to mark the occasion. Mothers and grandmothers receive free admission (with the purchase of a regular admission) and can enjoy a scenic ride along the Farm River aboard one of our authentic antique trolley cars.
