Join us for a powerful evening of art, community, and solidarity in support of Danbury Unites for Immigrants. 💛Families Belong Together: Music, Poetry & Spoken Word Fundraiser💛 📅 Friday, March 13th 🕖 7:00–10:00 PM 📍 La Mitad del Mundo | 275 Main St, Danbury 🎶 Live music, poetry, food, drinks, and door prizes! Immigrant communities are under attack — but we refuse to stand by in silence. Across the country and here in Connecticut, immigrant families are being targeted with fear, violence, and intimidation. It’s up to all of us to come together, protect one another, and resist hate with unity and love. An authentic and delicious Ecuadorian food buffet and full bar drink will be available for purchase. Support a local immigrant-owned! All proceeds donated to Danbury Unites For Immigrants. Each attendee will receive a door prize ticket for a chance to win a gift basket (must be present to win). This event will feature incredible local poets, musicians, and spoken word artists who remind us that art is both healing and revolutionary. Their art reminds us that creativity fuels resistance — and that our stories can spark transformation. 🎤 Performances by ZOP (George Hanlon & Americo Carrasco) and Two of Five (Matt Weber & Ross James. 🎤 Poetry by Cheryl Panosian (Danbury’s Poet Laureate), Dan Sousa Silva, and Brianna Bencosme Bidó. 🎤 Open mic! Come experience the power of creativity, connection, and collective resistance — and learn how DUFI is organizing to protect, mobilize, and uplift immigrant families in Greater Danbury. All donations will benefit Greater Danbury Area Unites for Immigrants Because nobody is coming to save us — **we are all we’ve got.** Let’s rise together, in art and in action.
