Art Events in Silverthorne

Fly high with the mountain breeze! Inspired by the Japanese tradition of Koinobori (carp streamers), we're bringing a local twist to the High Country. In this all ages, family friendly workshop, we'll create trout shaped windsocks to celebrate the coming summer. Instead of carps, we'll be designing and painting our own Mountain Trout, the true icon of our Blue River. Design & Paint: Use fabric markers, paints, and 'scales' to decorate your trout with vibrant colors and paint the Rainbow, Brown, or the native Cutthroat. Construct your Streamer: Assemble your fish windsock so it's ready to dance in the mountain wind. You'll take home: Your handcrafted Summit Trout-Nobori. A unique piece of mountain art that's ready to play with the wind and welcome the new season!
