We will paint florals from life as well as from a photo reference. The focus will be on simplifying areas of unwanted complexity and capturing the luminous nature of flower petals. Getting a firmer handle on the basics of painting and design will give any artist a boost toward better paintings. You will learn through discussions, demonstrations, and one-on-one instructor help as you paint. This ongoing class will cover the six building blocks on a cyclical basis: design/shape, drawing/line, values, color, edges, and brushwork/detail.
