Play at the Main Event with complementary game cards! The Story Behind the Daddy Daughter Doll Up Hi! My name is Andrew Johnson I’m a dad with a story and a strong desire to share a blessing that I experienced during a trying time. Someone ran a stop sign and hit my wife causing a roll-over accident. As a result, she sustained a traumatic brain injury and began the difficult road to recovery. Suddenly, I was responsible for tasks my rockstar wife had handled, including making sure my daughter, Dahlia got to dance practice. While my wife is mainly recovered today, for a while, she couldn't drive, couldn't remember things, and would get migraines if she saw sunlight. All of our normal routines and typical roles were disrupted I remember walking into dance class and having no idea how to put my daughter’s hair in a bun. I had to ask another mom for help. I connected with our daughter through the chaos in a way we hadn’t yet experienced. I realized that I was, most likely, not alone in my lack of knowledge and wanted to use it as an opportunity to share some of the blessings I’ve experienced through a hard time. The Daddy Daughter Doll-up is a fun event where Dads get to learn how to do their daughter's hair and makeup while their spouses or partners enjoy the night off. My hope is that this event brings families together, has couples fall in love again, and leaves everyone involved with fun memories and pictures to share, all while raising money for a really good cause.
