Explore the vibrant event scene and make the most of your time in Twentynine Palms. From music to adventure and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.
Explore the behavior & adaptations of bighorn sheep — the original rock climbers! Learn about the ecology of desert bighorn sheep and the techniques used to monitor and understand desert bighorn sheep. This class covers behavior, population health, and habitat connectivity. Take this information into an important movement corridor to spot the clues used to track herds, from fecal pellets to bedding sites. Your enrollment directly supports the Desert Bighorn Sheep Surveying Program in Joshua Tree National Park! Visit joshuatree.org/wildlife-conservation to learn more. The lecture portion of this class is held via Zoom. The field portion takes place at Sheep Hole Pass, near Joshua Tree National Park. No experience or expertise is required. However, the outdoor portion of this field class is suitable only for experienced hikers, as it takes participants through the steep and rugged natural habitat of bighorn sheep populations.
Uncover the hidden stories of desert wildlife by learning to track the marks left behind in the sands!
