Up to and Including her Limits: digital materiality, physical space, spiritual peace. Made possible by the Millicent Greenwell Clapp Studio Art Series Fund, this series invites an artist each quarter for a two-day visit consisting of studio critiques with our MFA students and an evening public lecture. This series continues to provide a dynamic platform for artists to engage with the Stanford community, fostering critical dialogue and creative exploration.

Visiting scholars share their research with the HAI community. Generative AI is entering classrooms at a breathtaking pace. In this talk, I offer a different vision that I call learning by creating. Decades of learning sciences research show that understanding deepens when students actively engage in creative work.
