Sitar concert at CCRMA, Stanford by one of India's leading musicians. Join us for an intimate sitar concert by Pandit Sugato Nag at Stanford University presented by Parag Chordia and Spicmacay Stanford. He will be accompanied on tabla by Sudhakar Vaidyanathan, a senior disciple of Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri. Pandit Sugato Nag is one of India’s leading sitar artists, acclaimed for a distinctive style that unites the lyrical gayaki ang of Ustad Vilayat Khan with the depth, raagdari, and intricate stroke work of the Senia-Shahjahanpur tradition, as taught by his gurus, the late Padmabhushan Pandit Buddhadev Das Gupta and Pandit Radhika Mohan Maitra.
