Join Sonoma Land Trust for a 50th Anniversary Field Trip! Sonoma Land Trust has its origins in the Sonoma Valley, with a group of residents taking action to preserve the scenic and natural beauty of this place. On this tour, we’ll visit various properties that highlight the conservation of natural areas, including the Sonoma Valley wildlife corridor, and meet with the landowners that preserved and continue to steward these special places. Special guest Arthur Dawson will share stories about the early days of conservation. Land Acquisition Director John McCaull will talk about the Sonoma Developmental Center and other strategic land protections to preserve the wildlife corridor, and Program Manager Chris Carlson will share details about the wildlife studies that have been crucial to saving this habitat.
