Red Cross Blood Drive at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Join us from 8am to 2pm for a blood drive.
This for-fun amateur pickleball tournament benefits Storytime Books, a nonprofit organization that gives children's books to families who need them. We offer two divisions. Be sure to register in the correct division! Recreational Open Players and fans are expected to comport themselves with courtesy, integrity, and good sportsmanship. Tournament Format Doubles teams play randomly drawn pool games, which determine seeding for the single-elimination brackets. All teams advance to their division's single-elimination bracket. except the championship game one game to 15 Coin toss, paddle spin, or rock-paper-scissors determines 'Serve' or 'Side.' No Referees: Score is kept by the players. A scoresheet is used to report the result to the tournament directors. It should be initialed by each team; the winning team submits the scoresheet to the TDs. may request Nets: Balls: Prizes Each partner in both first-place teams will receive a $50 VISA gift card. Donations are requested! To donate a $50 gift card, please contact us at storytimebookszerotofive@gmail.com. To donate children's books (ages 0 to 5), bring them to the tournament and look for the donation station. Registration Your player fee of $50 benefits Storytime Books! Partners register individually. Make sure your partner registers ASAP, too! If you do not have a partner, please respond 'NEED PARTNER' when prompted, and we will find you one. Registration is online only. A waiting list will be available. Players on the waiting list will be notified of an open spot and have 24 hours to register. Entry fees will be refunded if registered players withdraw 7 days before tournament day. Later withdrawals will not be refunded, but the donation is appreciated. Unite with Jews, Christians, and Muslims assisting American Red Cross staff at blood drive to save lives. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Join a small team of Jews, Christians, and Muslims volunteering to assist Red Cross staff to check-in donors upon arrival, restock canteen refreshments, and monitor donor wellness post-donation until their departure. No experience necessary! Shift 1: 10:45 AM to 2:00 PM, Shift 2: 1:45 PM to 5:30 PM, Both shifts: 10:45 AM to 5:30 PM. Age Requirements: Gloves, hand sanitizer, wipes. To donate blood, register here.
