What's On in San Carlos

Join us at Hyland Design Group's pop-up gallery in downtown San Carlos for the opening reception of our latest exhibition. The Fine Arts Department of Sacred Heart Preparatory Atherton is proud to present the work of this year’s talented AP Art students. We offer four sections of AP Art: Ceramics, Digital Art, Photography and Studio Art. Work included in this show comes from each student’s Sustained Investigation, wherein the young artist identifies a theme and line of exploration, plus one or two guiding questions, that lead them through an epic journey of art-making over several months. The full “S.I.” portfolio, submitted later this spring, consists of as many as 15 works of art. This exhibition includes just one or two pieces from each Sustained Investigation. Each work here acts as a window into the mind and process of a greater personal journey. We hope you enjoy the broad range of techniques and processes, and the quality of thoughtful intentions, on view.
