Use foraged materials to create dramatic images on your own notecards. Step into the garden and make something beautiful. Join Marin-based photographer and printmaker Ben Davidson and photo teacher and artist Laurie Reemsnyder for a spring printmaking workshop set among the stunning grounds of Marin Art and Garden Center. We begin with a 20-minute foraging walk through the garden, gathering botanical materials from the surrounding landscape. From there, we move into a 60-minute printmaking session, using the luminous cyanotype (photo) process on sunny days, or elegant botanical stencil printing when the sky is overcast. Every participant goes home with a collection of handcrafted cards and a wooden frame to display their favorite piece, a meaningful keepsake from a morning spent in nature and creativity. Come for yourself or share the experience with someone you love.
