This month as we celebrate the Earth, we will be deep diving into the world of Radiohead, more specifically their 2007 album ‘In Rainbows’. Recorded between 2005 and 2007, it emerged after a long hiatus following Hail to the Thief, with the band refining material through live performances before final studio sessions with longtime producer Nigel Godrich. Sonically, In Rainbows blends warm, intimate textures with subtle experimentation. The sound design emphasizes layered guitar, soft electronic elements, and detailed rhythmic interplay. Showcasing intricate layered looping patterns and ambient atmospheres. Thom Yorke’s vocals are often placed front & center, treated with minimal effects to highlight emotional depth. The result is a cohesive, immersive listening experience that balances human warmth & carefully crafted sonic detail. We will be listening to the album in its entirety on our Hi-Fi Sound System at the peak of the evening. Each ticket includes a complimentary album-inspired cocktail by Dolores, our homebase. This will be paired alongside an opening ambient synthesizer set by Humanoiz, a duo originating from Long Beach, CA. Known for their sonic experimentation & work with original band Human Musik, looking to expand their sound & experimentation with this project. As well all-vinyl DJ sets by Moises Florentino, DJ/lead creative for Sala Sound. He will be digging in his electronic & eclectic rhythms bag, as well playing all the Radiohead classics along the way.
