In this interactive 90-minute meeting, participants will gain a behind-the-scenes understanding of how local emergency response works—from the moment a 911 call is placed through on-scene response and post-incident follow-up. Representatives from emergency dispatch, law enforcement, fire/EMS, and investigative units will each share their unique role, what they need from preschool staff during an emergency, and how strong communication and preparation can make a meaningful difference. Rather than focusing on worst-case scenarios, this session emphasizes realistic situations, practical decision-making, and partnership. The goal is to help preschool leaders feel more confident, informed, and prepared to support first responders and their school communities—before, during, and after an emergency.
