Oasis Legal Services invites community members to an evening that is both celebratory and deeply meaningful: a gallery reception and photography showcase featuring LGBTQ+ asylum seekers from California’s Central Valley. This event offers a unique opportunity to experience powerful, first-person visual storytelling, and art that reflects resilience, identity, displacement, and hope. For LGBTQ+ community members especially, the gathering creates a space of connection and solidarity, highlighting voices that are often ignored while reminding us of the shared struggles and triumphs within the global queer community. Guests will view striking photography, meet some of the artists, hear their stories, and gain insight into the challenges that asylum seekers face. With free food, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere, the evening is an invitation to engage, learn, and build community.
