Education Events in Fontana

Join us for a thrilling night of learning how to sniff out target odors in the dark at "Night Ops! Sniffing in low light and darkness"! After numerous requests- The Scentsable K9 is conducting Night Ops at Scenturian K9/AEP Services in Fontana, CA. Both interior and exterior searches will be conducted. If you have never searched in the dark, it can be very eye and "ear" opening because we are taking away a majority of the sight picture. You will learn to LISTEN to what your dog is telling you. We will teach you how the "pros" use their flashlights to aid in searching without it becoming an obstacle. Your instructors, Pete Stevens and Eric Oden, have over 60 years of combined LE service and done hundreds of K9 searches in the dark. They look forward to giving you some tricks of the trade to make this a valuable learning experience for your K9 team! Target odors of Anise, Birch, and Clove will be provided. Any other odors (narcs, EDD, etc) you wish to bring to must be cleared PRIOR to the event. LIMITED TO 10 WORKING SPOT. Requirements- A good quality flashlight- NO HEADLAMPS ALLOWED! There is a reason for no headlamps which will be explained at the briefing.
